"Woestijnroos" is a short film created during a one month-residency in Crete. The film explores themes of isolation, wandering, and personal rediscovery, portraying a journey of breaking free from conventional notions of time and space to seek deeper sensory and emotional connections. Set within a Greek landscape, natural beauty blends with self-reflection, incorporating projected text to create an interior monologue, inviting viewers into an intimate exploration of the self, emphasizing how changing one's environment can lead to healing and self-discovery. The film has been showcased at various festivals, including Theater Kikker in Utrecht and the Jonge Harten Festival in Groningen.
